  • Who put Wild Magic on the party?
    • The group's items were selectively cursed with Wild Magic by Antiphiphia
    • She knew about the Beholder threat and figured that Wild Magic would throw the Beholders off guard
    • Unfortunately, the party discarded all of their Wild Magic cursed items before they met the first beholder
    • During the combat at the Githyanki base Antiphiphia cursed the party's items, everyone had to save for their items, just about everyone failed at least once, many failed twice.
    • Antiphiphia knew she needed to use this party to deal with the menace on Thonia, Antiphiphia has insight into the future, and it looked bleak for a good section of the Dragon Empire.
  • What's this about a parasite?
    • One character is infected with a parasite since the party visited Aphex prison.
    • Milo carried the parasite for some time, but he died before its effects were revealed
    • The parasite would turn into some sort of creature and eat its way out of its host.
  • What's the menace?
    • The Beholder's are definitely the menace.
    • In particular, the one Beholder to unite all Beholder kin and Beholder breeds.
    • His name is Tacoxrirac, or Tacox the Amalgamator
    • This Beholder has an edge, he comes from the future, has information from multiple computers as to how some events in history turn out.
    • He knows he won't live forever, but insists on fulfilling his destiny to unite all beholders.
    • He was captured by the intergalactic Ark from his home world of Qeqtoxii, but he later escaped from the containment field in the Ark.
    • He ultimately causes the Ark to drop back in time and crash on Thonia.
  • What is the City of the Gods?
    • An intergalactic transport or Ark, tasked to repopulate worlds
    • The AI, Noah is the overseer
    • The crew was exposed to a virus
      • Some crew were put into suspended animation or stasis
      • Others helped crash the ship back in time, persuaded by
      • The medical lab was almost to a cure, but the robotic units went mad trying to create a cure
      • The group was exposed, but the incubation period was months and most made the save.
    • The ship was sent back many, many years and was on the planet Thonia for millions of years
    • The ship has a contingent of robotic units which work everything
      • Some robots were tasked with setting up a defensive screen or force field to prevent anyone from entering the City of the Gods, this shield generator is the Tower of Glass
      • Some robots were programmed to defend the City of the Gods from outsiders
      • Some robots continue to fix and repair the City
      • Some robots were programmed to maintain life on board the ship
    • The City has always been visible from the inhabitants of Thonia, from mountain tops or flying overhead
      • Antiphiphia knew about the legends of a great city ship on Thonia
      • G'Banrak has only heard legends of the City of the Gods
    • The City was surrounded by two force fields
      • Outer to keep anyone away from the Tower and City
      • Inner to keep city inhabitants in the City
      • Both were failing from Beholder intervention, the party finished the job
  • Why were they brought to the prison?
    • Experiments were being done to attempt to fight the menace.
    • Genetic manipulation was performed to help fight the menace.
    • Antiphiphia figured wild magic would be the best defense against the beholders, more often than not, magic attacks effects would prove harmless to targeted creature
  • Who sent the Uthuk and Gorath after G'Banrak?
    • Both were hired mercs, hired by an outside agency that competes with the ISPD
    • Xerxan worked for this agency
    • G'Banrak made a deal with Gorath to help her determine who is behind her capture attempts
  • Is the other Uthuk still a frog?
    • No.  He's mad too, luckily Syd and Zoltan may be dead.
  • Where did all the zombies and other raised dead come from?
    • Alahandra's wild magic effect encompassed the entire region on Thonia
    • Dead were raised and will be reraised for some time.
    • Syd, Nick, Zoltan, Wang and many Drow red shirts are no longer dead. 
    • The undead are seeking out the responsible party, Alahandra must make things right again
    • The undead all believe that Alahandra's death will put them to rest and ease their suffering
    • Some dead are more powerful than others, but after a few reanimation they will become zombies or skeletons and continue to exist as weaker undead
    • Every time a magically animated undead returns he loses multiple levels, HD equivalent
  • How did Jhelai find the group?
    • He followed comm chatter and figured out how to get past the droids.
    • Jhelai left Supercommie behind just as the party left them both behind
  • Why didn't the Tower of Glass explode?
    • The controls were disabled enough to get the reactor to go critical, but the fail safes held.
    • The droids fled, but some took care of the problem.
    • Getting the shield up is another story
  • Why are bounty hunters searching for G'Banrak?
    • G'Banrak is a key person with knowledge of the Thonian Web, the network of gates.
    • During G'Banrak's captivity it was revealed that she knew how to use the gates and she knew the location of many gates on other worlds and the key sequences to activate them
    • Thonia is hidden from the rest of the Dragon Empire by special dark matter
  • What happen to Xerxan?
    • Xerxan is still around and may be included in a further adventure.
    • Xerxan was setup to play an important role which he has yet to fulfill.
  • Why doesn't Gorath just kill the party and take G'Banrak?
    • G'Banrak Wished he would help her deal with the menace
  • What's up with the Temple of the Frog?
    • The temple was run by someone who escaped the City of the Gods.
      • This leader was a alien mutant who was immune to the viral agent released on the ship
      • He avoided suspended animation and death
      • He got bored, programmed in an escape route
    • St. Stephen started a community of believers who believed in a Froglike Deity
      • He himself being a mutant he had green pigmentation 
      • He has genetically manipulated froglike beings into the killer frogs encountered by Milo
      • His gift was to slowly mutate members of his brotherhood by exposing them to mutagenic radiation
    • He never really sacrificed anyone, his brotherhood was almost out of control
      • He knows about Slaad, the Ruud, and other froglike races
    • The brotherhood of the Frog became quite militant in attempting to hide their secrets
    • St. Stephen knew something was wrong with the City of the Gods, but the party never made it to his chamber to interrogate him.
  • Why is their so much magic on Thonia?
    • Convenient Trade between other worlds makes it easy to bring magical items back to Thonia
    • After many thousands of years, low level magic has become almost mundane on Thonia
    • Most of the inhabitants don't use magic for active aggression, the planetary alignment is lawful good
    • Attack and Defense magic can only be learned off world, G'Banrak has learned her sorcery from visiting many worlds
  • Why isn't there a greater presence on Thonia from the Dragon Empire?
    • Thonia exists in a location that is surrounded by dense pockets of dark matter.
    • Star Casters are disturbed when teleporting near these pockets of dark matter, and failure rates increase exponentially.
      • Thus interstellar travel to Thonia is far and few between
      • Interplanetary travel is quite slow to Thonia but is used on occasion.
        • Some city summoned a Dragon Empire magistrate, he may come by individual teleporation, but their is a chance he will fail.
    • Individual teleportation is possible but costly if you haven't been to Thonia, and failure rates are still higher than normal.
    • Gates are still the quickest and safest.
  • Why does G'Banrak protect Orendil?
    • Orendil saved her life and she had a dream that he will do it again
    • Plus he's cute in a rustic Star Wolf sort of way
  • Why were the Githyanki working with the ISPD?
    • Psionic powers may be stronger against the Beholders
    • Antiphiphia was trying to ally herself with all strong groups in the Dragon Empire
    • The party killed a group of young Githyanki recruits who were in training
    • The Githyanki weren't too pleased with Antiphiphia's recruits
  • Who was the drunken drow?
    • Colonel Antiphiphia is the drunken drow seen at most ship riots and outbreaks
    • She is always waiting to capture non-conformists and action oriented citizens
    • She has a competitor, Xerxan
  • Why did Gorath feel a shock when he touched a droid?
    • Gorath's armor was possessed by some sort of electrical entity
    • This entity never came into play, it was never harmed by Gorath.
  • How did Milo get changed back to flesh?
    • Syd is a powerful wizard and he found Milo as a statue
    • Syd was also responsible for freeing Amio and Gordon
    • Syd figured he could follow these guys to Alahandra so he could rest in peace
    • Syd had a change of heart about killing Alahandra when he reencountered the group
  • Who was ranking on the Arc?
    • There was a captain, Reese, in charge of the ships flight
    • There was a commander, Goeb, in charge of the activities of the mission
    • There was a religious leader, St. Stephen, in charge of the people of the ship
  • Where did the vegetable beings come from?
    • The vegetable beings were somehow sentient plants
    • the plants evolved generation after generation on the ship, they were no match for the group
  • Who did the Ruud work for?
    • Guygul, the storm giant
  • What does Guygul have to do with all of this?
    • Guygul protected G'Banrak in Aphex prison
    • Guygul runs an underground operation on another planet, Tau Inferus
    • This operation is directly opposed to the ISPD
    • Xerxan worked with Guygul
  • What about the MBK?
    • Mechanical Beholder Kin
    • Some Beholder technicians are monitoring the MBK, they continually teleport new beholders in after seeing one destroyed
    • When the MBK is destroyed it is teleported away and a new model is teleported in its place
    • The MBK has similar qualities to some beholders but they are not magical
    • The MBK is purely autonomous robot with some programming and adaptive logic
    • The MBK gets new programming wirelessly
  • What about the Monster Generator?
    • The Beholders have taken over all systems in the City of the Gods.
      • The AI, Noah, has its own control
      • The robotic units from the Tower of Glass have their own control
    • Aberrations are being released systematically
      • Some aberrations defeated the shield security and started moving around Thonia
    • Where was the monster generator?
      • The monster generator was on the 5th floor, the party never made it there
      • The beholders were releasing monsters from the Ark and mutating some before releasing them on Thonia.
  • Why were Amio and Gordon on ice by the Beholders?
    • Food storage, Beholders need to eat too.
    • Maybe another agenda all together
    • Overly elaborate, conveniently escapable situation
  • Why was the Beholder so difficult to hurt?
    • It was wearing 7 stalk rings, all are magical

      seven examples of the stalk rings were:

      • Energy resistance
      • Electrical resistance
      • Increased initiative
      • Increased dexterity for firing beams
      • Increased constitution
      • See invisibility
      • ring of force
    • It was wearing Beholder Powered Armor with force field and Damage Reduction as well as Spell Resistance
    • These aren't your grandmother's Beholders
    • They made MBK's for crying out loud, technology hasn't stopped for them either
    • These beholders are highly intelligent and technologically superior
    • These beholders took over all the ships manufacturing centers and started producing technology equivalent or better than that of the Dragon Empire
